I suddenly got the following errors. The yellow one only appeared briefly a couple of times but the red error remains. I am at 97% and apparently, it has not not charged since I plugged it in an hour ago to a 7kW charger. The nearest smart service location is 26 miles (42 km) away. Any suggestions?
Battery Error

Update: I checked it in for service but I won't know anything until tomorrow. The advisor told me next week is the final week that their location is submitting warranty repair claims, so you could say I got lucky. Nonetheless, I feel like this is the beginning of a very long headache.

Did you try to unplug it, lock it and wait for 15 minutes? Feels like that would fix it. If it doesn't, I guess it's a case for the workshop.
-
I was not aware of that fix. I will let you know as soon as I have any updates from the shop. It seems like smart technicians are in short supply in the US...
-
That could be true, yes.

Great to hear it's finally back on the road. Did they mention what could have cause them going bad?
-
They did not. I know they tested the 12 V battery 3 year service but didn't replace it since they said it was optional. However, I don't think this caused the power electronics control to go bad. The fact that it happened within the 30 minutes I had it on the charger leads me to think it had to do with the charger. I had been using a 7 kW charger occasionally for the past couple of weeks.

Hmm. I would say we keep an eye on it. Still a bit strange.

Today my alarm went on for about 30 seconds out of nowhere and off again for about 30 seconds. It kept happening until I unlocked it, turned it on/off and locked it. When I locked it, the horn didn't beep after a couple tries but now it's back to normal...

Ahh, right. Nowadays smart even has a fix for that. You need part number MA000 998 13 23, which costs less than a Euro. It's a small knob you stick on the sensor that's checking of the boned hood is still closed.
